FlowMate has a small number of user-defined preferences accessible on the screen below:
When Fix Total Program Time is unchecked, a script can deviate from its designed timing freely. Segments that are terminated either early or late will have no effect on the length of subsequent segments.
When enabled, the options to Spread Change to Remaining Segments and Apply Change to Next Segment become available. A segment that deviates from its design length will result in either an excess or deficit of time. This difference in designed time can either be spread across all remaining segments or applied directly to the next segment.
If, for example, a segment is ended 30 seconds early and three segments of one minute each remain, using the “Spread” option will increase the length of the remaining three segments to one minute and ten seconds to absorb the early finish of the original segment.
In contrast, if the change is applied only to the next segment, the next segment will be one minute and thirty seconds long, while the final two segments will remain at one minute long.
These entries allow changing the time adjustment buttons that are available when the script is being displayed to change the duration of the current segment.
The content display font can be adjusted in this section, including the font face to use and the size. The example “Welcome to FlowMate” text will provide an example of how large normal text will appear in the content section when displaying a script; headings will be larger during display.
