The first release candidate of Release 1.4 is now available for public testing from Approximatrix.  Release 1.4 introduces import/export plugins, allowing users to develop scripts in JRuby to import from or export to any type of data file format.  Included in this release are plugins to allow import and export of Microsoft Office Excel and MATLAB binary data files.  The Probit and Logit regression code has undergone a complete overhaul, and their robustness has increased significantly after switching to an Apache Commons Math optimization engine.  This latest version will be available until October 23, 2009 for testing.
